For the heavenly beloved: love songs to Jesus and Mary La vida es un pasahe: a life in Sephardic song La vida es un pasahe is Troveresse‘s latest program, coming up in late March. In La vida we continue to explore the links between music written in the Middle Ages and music from the folk traditions of Europe and beyond. La vida es un pasahe is a journey through life told in the songs of the Sephardim, the Spanish-speaking Jews, who, after their expulsion from Spain in 1492, took their beautiful music to many parts of the globe. The program includes music of the Sephardim from Andalusia, the Balkans, Morocco, Rhodes, to name just a few.
