Member Entitlements

Three toys may be borrowed per family. Toys are loaned for a two-week period.

Members are eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting, and to nominate for election to the Committee.

Member Responsibilities

Toys must be returned by the due date. Fines are charged for toys that are returned late.

All member families are required to contribute to running the Toy Shed. Member families are expected to register on the roster for two Saturday duties per year. Families that cannot meet this committment are required to email the Committee and negotiate an alternative contribution. For example: Stocktake, Annual Toy Sale, Working Bees, Toy Repair and Toy Processing.

Look after the toys! The Toy Shed has over $25,000 worth of toys and it is important that all members take good care of them. Toys must be returned clean and in good condition. If toys which are not clean when returned, you will be asked to clean them at the Toy Shed.

Fines

Overdue toys: $1 per toy per week late.

Missing pieces: $5 per "essential" piece, $1 per "non-essential" piece. Missing piece fines are refunded if the piece is returned.

All pieces are counted and checked when returned against the list on the bag. If a piece is missing, you will incur a fine. We recommend that you count and check each toy when you borrow it, to ensure all pieces are there before you leave the Toy Shed.

Accidental damage/breakage: We understand that accidents sometimes happen and toys break. Fines are not issued for accidental damage. However please take all reasonable steps to take care of the toys you have borrowed.
