Welcome to the Torquay Fire Brigade web site!
The CFA today is one of the world's largest volunteer-based emergency services.
The role of the Torquay Fire Brigade is to deliver CFA services to the community and to assist the community to minimise damage to life, property and the environment.
These days the CFA does much more than fighting fires, and responds to a wide variety of incidents. These range from putting out wildfires to responding to urban emergencies such as house fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and assisting the State Emergency service with storm and flood rescue. CFA has also taken on an increasing role in community education and fire prevention.
The Torquay Fire Brigade is a volunteer Brigade consisting of both male and female members. The Brigade is always on the lookout for new volunteers to boost our numbers and would welcome your enquiry.
