Tempo
Doeloe Inc. (Australia) - Inc.No A0035355T - is both a social club
for people of the
former Netherlands East Indies and a
charity organisation. It was founded in
May 1988 by Lia Kelleners. Tempo Doeloe celebrated its first ten years
in May
1998, and its second ten years in May 2008.
We keep in touch with one another through home visits and by telephone as well as organising picnics, barbecues, cabarets, tours and other perkoempoelans (meetings), where old friends can meet each other and reminisce about tempo doeloe (the old days).
The Annual Members Meeting is held after 31st July each year, when a new Committee is chosen.
The Tempo Doeloe Magazine is published six times a year during the months of February, April, June, August, October and December. Subscriptions cost $20.00 per year, per family for those living in Australia. International subscriptions cost $25.00. Please note that the Tempo Doeloe Magazine is mostly published in Dutch with only occasionally an article in English. Subscriptions can be ordered by contacting us on the phone number located at the bottom of this page.
Tempoe Doeloe, as a club, is a member of Dutch Care Ltd as well as The Associated Netherlands Societies in Victoria, Inc.
