Mr William Harper retired as
Headmaster on 30th June, 1893. He was first the head master
of the Church of England School beginning in December 1857,
followed by the Common School No. 626 until the opening of
the State School No. 1023 on June lst, 1874 when he became
Headmaster of that School. On his retirement he had completed
a teaching period of 36 years.
On the retirement of Mr Harper, his position as taken over by
Mr Allen until 1909, then Mr Matthew Robinson to 1913; Mr M.
Sexton from 1913 to 1915.
