Looking south from the balcony of the Union Bank.
To the right of the Golden Age Hotel can be seen a very large advertising hording on the site of what was once Renshaw's London House Store. The hording was erected by J. B. Reid, and blew down in a gale in 1939.
On the left of the photo, and opposite the Bank, are the remains of the old bakery store which had been destroyed by fire in 1928.
