This box was obtained by the Robinson family of Tarnagulla and was the work of old William Grey the box used by William originally held Fresh Herrings. The top of the box has printed on it "FRESH HERRINGS" "AWARDED THREE FIRST PRIZE MEDALS" "SYDNEY EXHIBITION 1880".
I was informed by Mrs Vera Rodgers (Grey) now deceased that her grandfather at one time utilized rosella's to supplement the food supply at the cottage in Ironbark Gully, not sure if these two met this fate.
