Tim Gresham

Tim Gresham has a Diploma of Creative Arts from the University of Southern Queensland, graduating in 1986. He worked for over five years at the Victorian Tapestry Workshop, and has participated in many exhibitions in Melbourne and regional Australia. Since becoming a founding member of Phoenix Tapestries, Tim has worked collaboratively with other artist/weavers on large tapestries and produced a number of commissions of his own designs. These include the banner for St. John's Cathedral, Brisbane. He also has work in private collections in Australia and Europe. The timeless themes of the figure, landscape and architecture, are the inspiration for Tim's work. His tapestries have a virtuosity of technique and a strong yet refined sense of design and colour, executed with a precision and fluidity of line rarely seen.
