Chris Cochius
Chris studied Interior Design at the South Australian Institute of Technology, and graduated in 1980.
Her involvement in a
community tapestry at Crafers led to work with leading
tapestry artist,
Kay Lawrence in 1982 and 1983. In 1988 she assisted Kay
Lawrence with her tapestry for the Prime Minister's suite in
the New Parliament House, Canberra.
Chris was employed as
a weaver at The Victorian Tapestry Workshop from 1983 to
1986
and 1988 to 1992.
She worked at the West
Dean Tapestry Studio in West Sussex, UK in 1986 and
1987,
on their Henry Moore series.
