About Us

The TCA is a non-profit organisation established in 1979 when tandems were a rarity, spare parts non-existent and most knowledge resided with experts in the UK. Luckily, things are different now.

With its roots in Victoria the club has waxed and waned in size and scope of activities. In 2001 the club had membership of 100 tandem teams around the country. The club published a regular newsletter, had a major 'rally' each year called 'TwoUp' and ran a number of smaller, regional, rides. Unfortunately, the running of the club was left to the valiant efforts of a dwindling few to the point where the club has had to suspend activities.

Tandem riding is still great fun, and in a group even better. I hope that a new, energetic group can emerge to lead the club back into life. If this is you, please contact the webmaster at the address below.
