SPORT UNIFORM GRANTS

Nationals Member for Benalla Bill Sykes is encouraging Benalla Electorate sporting clubs and associations to apply for Our Club, Our Future Sporting Uniform Grants Program 2009 - 2010.

Grants are available for the purchase of essential sporting items required for participation in sport such as jumpers, shirts skirts, boots, socks and bathers.

Grants of up to $1000 are available with the second round of applications being accepted between January 18 and February 26, 2010.

Bill Sykes said, “Local sporting teams are an important part of country communities and for many small clubs the cost of participation in sport can be costly. This funding will assist sporting clubs and organisations to fund the purchase of uniforms.”

Applications can be lodged online at www.grants.dpcd.vic.gov.au emailed to grantapplications@dpcd.vic.gov.au faxed to 03 92083680 or mailed to the grants unit at the Department of Planning and Community Development GPO Box 2392, Melbourne, VIC 3001.
