TRUCKS AWASH

Easier access to truck wash facilities for livestock transports in the Shepparton and Euroa areas is good news for disease control and quality assurance according to Nationals MP for Benalla, Bill Sykes.

Dr Sykes, a veterinarian and farmer, raised concerns last week on behalf of local livestock transport operators about restrictions on access to truck wash facilities at Euroa and Shepparton.

Dr Sykes said, “I am pleased that Goulburn Valley Water and the local Shire Councils have been able to approve increased access whilst striving to ensure maximum water use economy.
