SYKES: ‘BE INVOLVED’ TELSTRA ASSISTANCE FUND

The Nationals Member for Benalla, Bill Sykes, advises Athletic, Swimming, Football & Rugby League Clubs in the Benalla Electorate to apply for funding through the ‘Be Involved’ Telstra Assistance Fund”.

Dr Sykes said, “Grants for Swimming and Athletics clubs of up to $5,000 are available with funding of up to $1,500 for Rugby League Clubs and $1,000 for Football Clubs.”

Dr Sykes added, “On my travels around the electorate I have many requests for funding. This round of Telstra funding focuses specifically on these sporting groups to purchase equipment to keep the community involved in these sports.”

Only clubs who are registered with their State or National Association can apply. Groups will need to check on the grant criteria for eligibility.

Applications can only be made online and need to be lodged by Wednesday, 1 August 2007.
