2006 FREEZA GRANT PROGRAM

The Nationals Member for Benalla, Bill Sykes, is inviting interested groups in his electorate to apply for funding through the 2006 FReeZA Grant Program.

“The FReeZA Program helps provide opportunities to young people to become involved in their local communities through their organisation of, and involvement in, local music and cultural events,” Dr Sykes said.

“The FReeZA Program really helps young people to develop their skills through planning these drug and alcohol free events. It also gives talented young entertainers and musicians a stage on which they can perform and share their talents.”

“Young people, through their involvement in the FReeZA Program, are able to develop leadership skills, and confidence, as they play a vital role in determining what type of entertainment events are held in their communities,” Dr Sykes continued.

Applications for funding through the FReeZA Program must be submitted online at www.grants.dvc.vic.gov.au by Friday 14 October 2005. For more information please contact the Grants Information Line on 1300 366 356.
