Why I self publish

DULCIE WRITES: It may be of interest to my sister writers that because of my age 
I've decided to self publish or partnership publish. My reasons are clear.

1. I don't feel I have the time or energy left to go through the hassles of finding a publisher. 

2. I trust Spectrum, and have a long connection with them - as the dedication in this book shows.

3. By self publishing I have much greater control over the finished product. Very important for my work.

4. And probably most important. 'Frail age' limits just about everything else. e.g. I don't drive - glaucoma. 
Travel exhausts etc etc. etc...So writing is a reason to get out of bed every morning. Sounds pompous. 
But my experience in respite care after my last near-death health scare was enlightening.
