Rotary Club of Sunshine
The Rotary Club of Sunshine (Inc.) was chartered on 15th June
1956, and is part of Rotary International
District 9800.
The rotary Club of Sunshine has been proudly serving the community since
1956. Current projects include major sponsorship of youth programs
and scholarships: these include opportunities to participate in leadership
programs, forums and camps, and in 2003 the first Youth Art Awards
and Exhibition was held.
The current focus is on community projects that help to improve
the physical, social and cultural environment of our local community.
Members regularly volunteer their time to build gardens, paint houses
and generally help out people in need.
The club also supports a wide range of District and International projects.
The Rotary Club of Sunshine is part of a world wide network of clubs
committed to improving the local environment.
The club also contributes to International projects that aim to improve
Peace, Health and Understanding. The eradication of Polio by the year
2005 is the current major target worldwide.
Rotary is a voluntary world wide service organisation of business and
professional people.
Rotary members are local men and women who meet weekly to plan and implement
projects for their community, and communities around the world.
