Meridian Road Swamps

Key Species:
 Few birds in recent drought years, but has been good for migratory waders and sometimes Orange Chats in summer months in past years

How to Get There :
From the roundabout at the Calder and Sturt Highway Intersection, (Fifteenth St and Deakin Ave) in Mildura, proceed along the Sturt Highway towards Adelaide.
Pass through South Merbein and turn left into Meridian Road.  (Map Point A)
 The turn is 15.2km from the 15th St. roundabout, and 3.3km past the South Merbein Store.
The sign to the North here says "Wentworth" & "Walpollah Is")
 The Meridian Rd swamps are on both sides of the road 3 km South of the Sturt Highway.

Best Locations Within Site: Access is not available to most adjoining property, and birdwatching is basically restricted to observation from road reserve - 'scopes often helpful

 Varies a lot - up to 2hrs.
