Key Species:
Special for Regent Parrots, Mallee Emu-wren, Striated Grass-wren, Chestnut  Quail-thrush, Mallee-Fowl.
Also Apostlebirds, White-winged Choughs, Major Mitchell's Cockatoos,  Bluebonnet, Mulga and Mallee Ringneck Parrots and Yellow Rosellas.

How to Get There :
Take the Calder Highway to Hattah township
(Map Point E), 35 km north of Ouyen. Turn off to information centre at Hattah Lake (Map Point A).
Alternatively, if you approach through Colignan, turn left off the River Rd. about 2 km south of Colignan on to Boonoonar Rd, then, after about 1 km, take the first left on to the Mournpall Track (2WD) which runs through the middle of the park.

Facilities:

Camping areas at Lake Hattah and Mournpall have pit toilets, tables and fireplaces.  Take your own drinking water
