Give thanks for
  •  Settling in to a new ministry situation
  •

  •
Please Pray For:
  • for the pastoral ministry at San Marcos church in Valdivia. There is an acute shortage of pastors right across the country

  • for GBU as it goes through a major staff turnover
  • The church leadership in Concepcion to make wise decisions in our absence

Hugh and Dorothy first served with CMS Australia in Tanzania from 1974 to 1991. They were on the staff of St Philip's Theological College, Kongwa, where they had a share in training over 400 men & women for Christian leadership.

They returned in 1996 and again in 2001 to continue their work.

In 2003 they were reassigned to Winhoek Namibia to the Namibia Evangelical Theological School (NETS).

Namibia, formerly South West Africa, is a republic in south-western Africa, bounded on the north by Angola and Zambia, on the east by Botswana and South Africa, on the south by South Africa, and on the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The total land area is 824,268 sq km (318,252 sq mi). The capital of Namibia is Windhoek.

Hugh is lecturing in OT Hebrew, NT Greek and Selected Studies in the Old Testament.

Dorothy is a medical doctor but is only provisionally registered as she has to do a year's internship in a local hospital to be fully registered. She is working as the Administrator at NETS.

Praise God with us:

  • For the arrival of the Greeff family from CMS Australia to join the TEE team at NETS;
  • For new residential students and a record number in the degree year
  • For great rains in Namibia this year .

Please Pray:
  • For strength to deal with the various tasks we have at NETS, despite our advancing age!
  • For the Greeffs' one year work permit to be issued soon and for the whole family as they settle into the work here in Namibia
  • For Namibia to be committed to the ending of corruption , and to good governance.
