Some thoughts from the everyday
experiences of being a dad: |
| |
"Why I like being a
Dad" |
| |
you get lots of hugs and kisses, |
but not when you've got shaving cream on. |
| |
you
always have company |
whether
you're getting dressed or going to the toilet. |
| |
you have
to say good-bye to everyone 3 times in the morning |
because
the first 2 times didn't count. |
| |
yours is
the favourite car |
because
it is a lot older and bumpier than mum's. |
| |
when you
try to get back in the door at night time. |
you
always have 1, 2, or 3 children hanging off your leg |
| |
you get
to read the same story again and again and again
and again, |
but you
worry when you realize that your children know it better
than you |
| |
the
sitting, talking and sharing.
|
|
| |
never
being lonely.
|
|
| |
going on
great adventures and doing things at someone else's pace |
rather
than your own. |
| |
stopping
to enjoy the little things in life |
and
teaching others to enjoy them too.
|
| |
but the
best thing |
is having
their mum to share this all with. |
