Survivors' Stories

Stroke People do make recoveries even if it is slow and over a long period of time. This does not mean that they cannot enjoy life or still do most of the activities that they enjoyed before their stroke. In some activities it may mean that they have to pursue their activities in a slightly different manner

As you will see on the attached page of Stroke Survivors' Activities we have pictures which clearly show that a stroke person can still participate in "normal" recreational activities even after having suffered a stroke.

Stroke Survivor Stories

Have you every wondered how other people cope after a stroke, whether they are a survivor or a carer? Listed below are links to stories from those who have lived through the trauma of stroke. These stories are from carers of children who had a stroke, a young family man and a mid life female adult. These people have worked through and are continuing to work through the difficulties associated with life after a stroke.

Please take some time to read these stories as I have no doubt that you will find them both inspirational and fascinating as to how each person worked through the difficulties that they encounter after having had a stroke.
