Worship at St Pauls

Worship is central to our life together. In worship we come to know God personally. It is here that we are shaped and nourished spiritually. We are committed to…

contemporary Anglican liturgy and worship, using A Prayer Book for Australia
careful preparation for all Services and liturgies
the systematic reading of the Scriptures by following the Lectionary
meaningful sermons and homilies where the Gospel of Salvation is preached faithfully and with love
    a Children’s talk at the 10 a.m. Sunday Eucharist
a paid Director of Music and a high standard of music
worship enriched with hymns, accompanied by our pipe organ and piano
the joy of singing, especially through the leadership and ministry of the choir
    active lay participation

Other Services

Tiny Tots Church

Tiny Tots Church is held at 4.00 p.m. the fourth Sunday of each month in the Church (there's no Tiny Tots Church in December or January).

It's 'worship that's relaxed and friendly for young children (0 - 5 years) their parents, grandparents, family and friends' and within the context of 30 - 45 minutes.

There are lively songs, a story, a craft activity and prayers. Afterwards, we have a cordial, a hot drink and something to eat in the Parish Centre.

Cafe Church

Cafe Church has come to St Paul's and you’re invited. It's an informal relaxed service in a cafe environment with food, plunger coffee and herbal teas, in the Parish Centre.

Unlike Sunday morning, we don’t sit in pews but sit facing one another, around candlelit tables, in the Parish Centre. Instead of formal worship the emphasis is on hospitality and conversation that’s faith related.

It's Church without the stained glass windows, pipe organ, Prayer Books, a formal sermon and wooden pews! What else happens at cafe church?

· there's some background music
· we may, or may not, sing hymns or songs
· there is a reading from Scripture
· input is designed to be interactive
· we enjoy faith related conversation
· at some point we pray
· it goes for just over an hour but you can linger and stay for as long as you like
· there's lots of flexibility

Cafe church is held a number of times each year. Come and experience Cafe Church in our Parish Centre. It's Church with a difference!
