Missions

During 2011 our parish raised $500.00 each for the three ABM Projects below.

Zambia Anglican Council Health and Community Development Initiative

In disadvantaged communities throughout Zambia, ABM hopes to empower women and youth through health projects, craft classes, agriculture training and literacy training. This project also aims to improve food security at a household level by providing farming inputs to 100 households, offering livestock to vulnerable households and 50 goats to each diocese.

To support this ABM project at St Paul's, Bendigo, place your donation in the offertory plate in an envelope marked "Z.I.D."

Donate directly to this project through ABM (select Zambia Integrated Devt).

Towards Peace in Korea Nutrition Program (TOPIK)

The Towards Peace in Korea (TOPIK) Nutrition Program began in 2007 after the Worldwide Peace Conference was hosted by the Anglican Church of Korea. This five year humanitarian plan aims to prevent widespread famine within North Korea and at the same time promote peace between the two Koreas.

To support this ABM project at St Paul's, Bendigo, place your donation in the offertory plate in an envelope marked "TOPIK."

St Margaret's Hospital, PNG

Many patients in and around Oro Bay die from preventable or curable conditions. The most common ones presented at St Margaret’s Health Centre are neonatal sepsis (a blood infection in newborns caused by bacteria), malaria, tuberculosis, pneumonia, broken limbs and machete injuries.

There is still a lot of work needed to improve St Margaret’s existing buildings and medical facilities. The aim is to upgrade the Centre from a rural health clinic into a fully functioning hospital. Proper medical equipment will enable staff to provide more than just basic medical care.

To support this ABM project at St Paul's, Bendigo, place your donation in the offertory plate in an envelope marked "St.M's, PNG."

Donate directly to this project through ABM (select St Margaret's Hospital in PNG Program).
