Mixed media: wood, pottery, chrome, nails, rope. The crucifix
confronts the pain of crucifixion ina a deliberately shocking
image of suffering.

OSWALD, KING AND MARTYR
Wooden sculpture. Oswald was a seventh century King
of Northumbria. Educated by the monks of St. Columba at Iona,
he triumphed on the battlefield in the name of Christ, and established
Christianity in his kingdom. He was killed in battle, a later
venerated as a saint.
