Caritas:

" Fellowship in Action" - part of The Mothers' Union
The purpose of Caritas is

1. To be specially concerned with all that strengthens, preserves and creates Christian home and family life.

2. To provide in the parish and entry/contact point to those who are outside the influence of the Church

There shall be no qualification for membership. There is a voluntary payment made towards postage and administration costs and includes a set fee which is forwarded to Mother's Union.

The Caritas group at St Oswald's is a thriving group with over forty members on the mailing list. The group meets on the fourth Monday of the Month at member's homes and usually a speaker is invited. The evening provides time afterwards to socialise during supper. The year concludes with a celebration usually in the form of a Dinner.
