The muscle machine is a large six-legged robot made at Nottingham-Trent University, in England, for Stelarc to perform with. The robot is powered by artificial muscles, hence the name "muscle machine".
the work was a study of the robot`s movement (pictured above), and a virtual-reality simulation of the artist`s and robot`s bodies as they move together.
