The season of Advent is a time of preparation in the Christian church - preparation for the coming of Christ, Infant and Saviour.

This WebQuest aims to encourage us to think about the meaning of this time of preparation.

The Annunciation icon depicts the beginning of Mary's time of waiting for Jesus' birth.

Our task is to explore the resources listed on the following pages and construct a celebration of Advent that will be appropriate in the Southern Hemisphere as well as reflecting the idea of preparation and waiting.
