OBJECTIVES OF SIKH SOCIETY OF
AUSTRALIA

1- To represent the Sikh community in
Australian community, Government departments and other organizations in Australia.
|
|
2- To facilitate and Promote Sikh youth
cultural and sports activities.
|
|
3- To facilitate Social welfare, charitable
and humanitarian activities of Sikh community in Australia.
|
|
4- To establish promote and preserve Sikh
heritage in Australia and establish Sikh historical society of Australia.
|
|
5- To foster Sikh community understanding and
assist in integration of new migrants/settlers in Australian Community.
|
|
6- To facilitate activities for aged
pensioners and senior citizens of the community.
|
|
7- To participate and promote the teaching of
Sikh Gurus and Sikh religion, by conducting regular seminars, conferences
and information sessions.
|
|
8- To promote the understanding of Sikh
community in educational circles.
|
|
9- To foster Radio, Television , news papers,
educational needs of the community.
|
|
10- To establish branches in every state and
territory of Australia.
|
|
11- To represent Sikh community of Australia
in human rights violations/discrimination against the
community.
|
|
12- To popularize Sikh community by
establishing Opportunity shops, blood donation and other community
services for the Australian
community.

|
13- To borrow and raise the money in such a
manner as the association may think fit for its objectives .
|
|
14- To build, maintain and alter any
buildings and premises necessary for the purpose of association.
|
|
15- To establish non-profitable cooperative
society.
|
|
16- To facilitate the advancement of
education of Punjabi Language amongst the community.
