Main truss - September 2004

The main truss as we left it January 2004 when we removed the timber walkways.

With the help of an angle grinder, Bill cuts through the U bolts holding the last of the timber to the truss.

Now devoid of timber, the truss is ready to be moved so we can start working on restoring it.

Although the truss is generally in good condition, one of a few patches of rust that are a stark reminder that this is not going to be a simple project.
