Scott began his coaching career in 1995 with the Dolphin Swim Club in The Bahamas as a natural progression from his very successful swimming career with the club and his country. Scott has represented The Bahamas in numerous international swim competitions and has held club records and national records for freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly events. His achievements include receiving The All New England Award among many others. During his coaching career in The Bahamas, Scott coached and worked alongside national level swimmers and eventual Olympians.
Scott decided upon pursuing coaching as a career and graduated in 1995 from Keene State College in New Hampshire USA with an Occupational Health and Safety degree. Scott is currently completing his Level 2 Coaching and looks forward to obtaining Level 3 status in the near future.
Scott believes that the most important thing to instill in his swimmers is the willingness to try. Success can only come after the attempt and the act of attempting offers success in itself.
Scott's goal was to show the swimmers of Squidline what their true potential is in the world of competitive swiming. "I hope that my experience can inspire future Squidliners!".
