Bird Observations (December 2000 - January 2002)

Since November 2000 a member of the Committee has been conducting regular, monthly surveys of the bird population in the Somers Trail area. These surveys, which were being forwarded to Birds Australia to be incorporated in the forthcoming revision of the Bird Atlas of Australia, were restricted to the area covered by the square covered by MELWAY map 49:B11.

These data are shown in tabulated form arranged in four seasonal tables. As birds are no respecters of calendars, the data are shown with a one month overlap at the beginning and the end of the seasons, as follows:
