Latest Club News, 29 July, 2001
The 2001/2002 season is under way. The Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday the 22nd of July with a good spread of members in attendance. The committee from the previous season were all returned unopposed. This means that Rob Mayo is again President, with Dave Clark and Steve Reside filling the two Vice-Presidents roles. Barry Mathieson will be starting his 17th year as Secretary and Pete Smith his 16th as Treasurer. It was also announced that Davin Charleston would be returning as Captain/coach of the club for his second year. This coming season he will have help in the coaching from Gav Bailey, who has resisted offers to move to other clubs.
Other plans for the pre-season lead up revolve around the continuing improvements to the Keegan St Reserve facilty, with extensions to the Clubrooms, grassing of the ashphalted areas and the removal of unused drainage tracts on the oval being given priority.
Training is expected to commence in mid August and details of the venues and times will be posted on this site and in the local newspaper, the Latrobe Valley Express.
