Foam Hare Ear Emerger
Hook: Curved hook, sizes 18 to 12.
Thread: Black 8/0 or 6/0
Tail (Trailing shuck) A small bundle of ginger hackle fibers.
Body: Hare's-ear dubbing or a synthetic substitute.
Rib: Pearl Krystal Flash.
Wing: A thin strip of 2-millimeter-thick, closed-cell white foam for larger flies, or a short tag of white cylindrical foam for size 18 flies.
Hackle: Light ginger.

1. Tie in tail - small bundle of hackle fibres

2. Tie in Krystal flash

3. Create a fine dubbing of Hares ear dubbing

4. Wrap the Krystal flash - 4-5 turns

5. Tie in the foam wing (see diagram above)

6. tie in 2-4 turns of light hackle

7. Whip finish in front of wing.
