About Us Sounds Infected Inc is an affiliated club of MONSU (Monash Student Union) Peninsula Campus. We are a non-profit theater company who aims to get University students into theatre, to learn about theatre craft, and to provide a link to theatre companies on the Mornington Peninsula. We believe that theatre is a great way to meet people and therefore feel that this club is assisting in providing a chance for different students from different faculties and year levels the chance to interact and make friendships. Sounds Infected Inc performed their first production as the 'Education Faculty Performing Arts Group' in 2002. 'Mad Dogs & Jury Men' was directed by Dr. Greg Hurworth and was the first step in reintroducing music and drama back onto the Peninsula Campus. Part way through 2003's production of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' (directed by Scott Duncan & Eleanor Pike, musical direction by Dr. Greg Hurworth) the club Sounds Infected Inc. was born through the efforts of the directing team. Becoming part of MONSU meant that Sounds Infected Inc. could easily expand to include other faculties therefore creating one more step towards a better appreciation of musical theater on-campus. |
