The Winter Series

The Winter Series runs from the beginning of May to the end of August.

Points are accumulated in three Divisions. The allocation of boats to Divsions is determined at the beginning of the Series and is based on each boat's performance over the previous Series. Both Yardstick and Performance Handicap System, PHS, results are presented.

In a typical year there are over 15 completed races that make up the Winter Series. There are two short course (approx. 0.3 Nautical Mile per leg) races on each sailing day (every second Sunday). It is the Yardstick result that is used to calculate the series place getters.

Trophies are awarded for first second and third in each of the three Divsions.

Winter race results are also presented as an Open Division for the purposes of calculating a result for the Championship Series.
