The Summer Series

The Summer Series runs from the beginning of September to the end of December and from the beginning of February to the end of April.

Points are accumulated in three Divisions. The allocation of boats to Divsions is determined at the beginning of the Series and is based on each boat's performance over the previous Series. Both Yardstick and Performance Handicap System, PHS, results are presented.

In a typical year there are over 15 completed races that make up the Summer Series. There is one race on each sailing day (every Saturday). It is the Yardstick result that is used to calculate the series place getters.

Trophies are awarded for first second and third in each of the three Divsions.

Summer race results are also presented as an Open Division for the purposes of calculating a result for the Championship Series.
