Emerald Hill Cricket Club
Emerald Hill Cricket Club (EHCC) traces its history to the St Lenoard's Brighton Beach Club, which began playing in the Southern Districts Churches Cricket League (SDCCL) in 1903. In 1983 St Lenoard's with merged Murrumbeena, and then with Prahan in 1989. In 1991 the club was renamed the Emerald Hill Cricket Club (the Dragons).
Emerald Hill's association with the Sports Club began in 1991 when cricketers playing on the adjacent oval in Albert Park were invited to use facilities in what was then the struggling St Kilda Bowling Club. In 1993 EHCC combined with the St Kilda Bowling Club and the St Kilda Petanque Club to form the St Kilda Sports Club. Currently EHCC fields four teams, ranging from top level Menzies Shield to a more relaxed one day grade. We have won numerous premierships and made regular finals appearances over the last ten years.
Our home grounds are located at Albert Park Oval 21 (Melway 2K F10) and Lagoon Reserve, Port Melbourne (Melway 2J F6). All training is conducted at Lagoon Reserve on Tuesdays and Thursdays commencing at 5pm.
We welcome all players new and old to our club.
