What if I'm not happy with the result of my assessment?
Review of decisions about nursing home and hostel approvals or Community Aged Care Packages
It should be possible to sort out any problems by talking about your concerns with Team members.
However, if you are applying for admission to a nursing home or hostel, or you are seeking a Community Aged Care Packageand your application is not approved, you will be sent a letter which explains how you, or some-one acting on your behalf, can appeal against the decision.
The final decision to accept the Team's advice remains with you. If you are not satisfied with the assessment or recommendations, please tell the person in charge of the Assessment Team.
