About Us

We are located in Heidelberg, Victoria Australia.

Our Club house is at the rear of the St John's Catholic Church, Cape St, Heidelberg.

St John's Catholic Tennis Club is part of the parish complex of St John's Heidelberg located on the corner of Yarra and Cape Streets, Heidelberg. This complex embraces the historic St John's Church (established 1853) and Presbytery and St John's Primary School. Access to the club is via the car park in Yarra Street next to the Presbytery or, for night tennis, cars can enter from Cape Street using the entrance to the Church and school.

The tennis club dates from 1939 and has 3 synthetic turf courts, all with lights. Construction of a new clubhouse and replacement of the en-tou-cas courts are some of the new developments at the club.

SJCTC participates in the local NENTG, HDTA and NEJTA. In the various night competitions the club has Veterans, Mens, Womens and Mixed teams. In the midweek ladies competition the club has teams and in the junior competition there are many girls and boys teams. There is also Sunday morning social tennis from 8am.
