Jillian has a B.Ed in Human
Movement and Education from Canberra University and a Graduate Diploma
in Movement and Dance from Melbourne University. She is former co-artistic
director of Dance Compass Melbourne, recently producing Studies in Y
at Theatreworks. Jillian has performed with Desoxy and performs regularly
with Not Yet It’s Difficult, directed by David Pledger. Jillian’s independent
work includes Crossing the Styx for Dancehouse, It Sucks at My Feet
for the Victorian Arts Centre and Crossings as part of Greenmill, directed
by Ariette Taylor. Jillian’s new company Y Space and her piece Forest
has toured extensively to regional festivals. Her highly developed performance
skills enrich the theatrical power of Walk on Water.
