Who Are the Swan Hill Lions?

Lions Clubs International is the largest and most active service organization in the world, with over 1.4 million members in all continents. The first Australian Lions Club was chartered in 1947. At the moment in Australia, there are 1557 Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs, with a total of 31,566 members.

Membership of a Lions club is by invitation, open to men and women over the age of 18 years and of good moral character and reputation. Most Lions Clubs, including this one, meet twice monthly. If you know a Lion, then ask him or her to invite you along to a meeting. If you do not know a member of Lions, just contact one of our office-bearers or click the "Contact us" button on this page to arrange an invitation. Or find a Club near you.

The Swan Hill Lions Club was formed in November 1964. It currently has about 35 members. Two of the foundation members are still members today.

Projects supported by Swan Hill Lions are now listed on our Activities page.
