Retired Teacher Graham
Gardner studied at the University of Melbourne. After teaching at Edenhope
and Kerang and after his 1966 marriage he travelled with his wife Marion
to southern Germany, England and Norway before returning to Australia.
Resuming as a teacher at Kerang and then Fitzroy, Graham was appointed
head of the History Department at Swan Hill High School in 1974. In between
teaching Graham has written a number of history books including two school
histories, a book on Kerang and the successful "Murray Mallee Country"
along with others."Traces of the Past" involved hundreds of hours searching
for photographs, contacting dozens of locals, and writing up the contents
of photographs. Graham endeavoured to use new photographs - that is, not
to duplicate those produced in the 1986 "Murray Mallee Country"
