What is SHAnKs ?

  • SHAnKs' (Sage Hill Adolescents 'n' Kids) is a mutual support, social and education program for young people 6-16 years of age, where a family member has significant mental health issues or concerns.


What about the Education, what's that about?

  • Education is about helping each SHAnKs' member to understand (know) what Mental Health Issues are and how they affect people

  • It is about helping each SHAnKs member to know that they are not the only ones who have someone in a family who suffers a Mental Health issue


What are some of the Social Activities?

  • Going to the Archie Graham Centre for food, fun and swimming

  • Going to Mini-Golf

  • Going bowling

  • Having overnight camps

It's all about having fun, helping each other and treating each other with respect!
