What's Happening

Right now we are trying really hard to raise funds needed to replace our ageing mobile lighting unit.

The projected cost is $40,000 of which Leongatha SES still needs to find $13,500.

We are asking residents, community groups & business to help us raise the funds still needed.

Donations may be sent to:
Leongatha SES
PO Box 524
Leongatha 3953.

All donations over $2.00 are tax deductable. A receipt can be issued on request.

Welcome To The Official Website Of Leongatha SES

We are the people you often see running a BBQ outside Michael's IGA. You see us in our orange jumpsuits, at expos & shows, manning the Driver Reviver caravan in Anderson St (Leongatha) on long weekends, we are at the Phillip Island Grand Prix and at a host of other community & public events.

This is all part of our public face but our most important roles are often well out of the public eye. With this website, we hope to provide an insight into the behind the scenes action and our emergency roles. The website is updated regularly so you will often find something new when you visit.

Behind The Scenes

The primary role of all SES units is to provide an emergency response to floods, severe storms & earthquakes. At Leongatha we also provide an emergency road accident rescue service, search & rescue functions and we have a number of people trained for high angle and vertical rescue, ie rescue from cliffs & rooftops. Even that is just some of what we do, so please browse our website and learn just a little more about some of your local volunteers.
