About beliefs
Exit counselling is a term used to refer to
the process of psychological recovery from the immersion in a sect or
cult or religion. If you have strongly identified with the beliefs of a
cult or religion, you may find that these beliefs no longer make sense
to you. You may come to the realisation that you were deceived or
mistaken. It may be a painful emotional process to extract
yourself from the belief system. You may suffer feelings of grief and
guilt. You may have to suffer painful separation from loved ones and
friends.
Feel free to browse these pages or email us with any question. We have
a team of helpers who are well versed in the flaws, illogicalities and
frauds that are perpetrated by all sects, cults and religions.
You may be completely assured that in leaving one religious belief
system, we will not try to replace it with another. This has been
a failing of other exit counselling groups. Our team can assist
you with explanations based on reason and clear thinking.
Atheism is not a belief system. It is the acceptance that there
is no evidence for the existence of any gods or supernatural beings.
Faith is belief without evidence. Faith is not a virtue. Nor is it
rational. Abstract concepts such as love and beauty are real and
good. You do not need an irrational belief system to appreciate
these things.
