The Get together was organised by the South-eastern Australian Naturalists Association.

Feathertop Chalet. The meeting was based at Feathertop Chalet at Harrietville from 16-26 January. This location was ideal. The Chalet provided excellent accommodation and facilities. The facilities included a conference room, and well equipped classrooms. The Chalet is beside the Ovens River and close to the start of the Bon Accord track (to Mt Hotham) and the tracks down from Mt Feathertop

Mountain Access. The location at Harrietville gave access to Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham and Dinner Plains, and Falls Creek and the Bogong High Plains.

Beechworth Buslines. Travel was by bus, using Beechworth Bus Lines. This company gave excellent service.

Attendance. Naturalists attending came as far as Chinchilla (Qld), Tasmania (including King Island) and Perth.
