Leader was Ann Jelinek.

We met Ann at the gate of her 100 ha property. The walk began at the large dam, home to frogs and freshwater tortoise. Beautiful Candlebarks were growing nearby. Tea Tree is becoming a problem, regenerating around the dam to the exclusion of Blackwood, and Black and Silver Wattle.

The walk took us through Red Box and Stringybark woodlands. In a cool valley we were fortunate to see the Wood White Butterfly with brilliant undercolours.

From Taggerty Ridge we had views of Cathedral Mountain, and clearing of the pine forest by the Jelineks in preparation for revegetation of natural forest.

A return to the dam took in native grassland areas.
