The autumn 2008 campout was held at Port Fairy and conducted by the Warrnambool Field Naturalists Club. The camp was based at Southcombe Lodge.

The program included
Fri 20: Choice of illustrated tak on the local area, or a walk to Griffiths Island to see Mutton Birds
Sat 21: Choice of full-day or half-day field trips, followed by
Annual meeting of SEANA, followed by
a talk by Joan McKnight on Kanawinka Geopark
Sun 22: Choicxe of full-day or half-day field trips, followed by
a talk by Jody Honan on vegetation changes along the Port Fairy-Warrnambool Highway.
Mon 23: Choice of half-day field trips, with farewll lunch beside Lake Pertobe
