Some highlights included

  • The variety and colour of seaweeds.
  • The interesting sculpured cliff faces.
  • The slowly-felt identity with the million year old rock formations: such strength, such silence, such resilience.
  • The way history has shaped the land and the aboriginal influence on the spitituality of the falls.
  • The aboribinal influence. "A society with 40.000 year plus history must have lessons we (with about a 3000 to 5000 year history) could and should learn. The aboriginal way may yet prevail again - the way we have shaped our world to this point."
  • The contrast of the remnant vegetation on the limestone at Lake Gilear.
  • The basalt columns at Hopkins Falls. Not as spectacular as others such as the Organ Pipes, but still fascinating.

  • Contributed.
