Monbulk Creek rehabilitation project

SDCN has been a partner with Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water and the Shire of Yarra Ranges in the rehabilitation of the Monbulk Creek streamside corridor since 1996. The project has involved nursery members and the community in pest plant control, collection of seed, growing of plants and plantings at Lysterfield Lake Park, Monbulk Creek Retarding Basin, Birdsland Reserve, Belgrave Lake Park and private properties with stream frontages. Our group has recieved grants from Melbourne Water, Parks Victoria and the Shire to assist SDCN to carrry out the works.
